CAN I BE IN THE VAN WHILE MY DOG IS BEING GROOMED?
Owners are not allowed in the grooming van during your dogs appointment; it is important that we have your dog's full attention on us. Please also do not knock on the grooming van as this can be very dangerous with our sharp tools. You are welcome to look inside of the grooming van before your appointment begins.
DO I NEED TO BE HOME?
For the first appointment, we require somebody to be home for the duration of the groom. After the first appointment, we offer latch-key service. Dogs must be contained and payment is due upon arrival. Your dog will be returned to their designated spot and you will receive text updates throughout the appointment.
WHAT FORM OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept cash, check, and most major credit cards.
DO YOU GROOM CATS?
We do not offer cat grooming at this time.
WHY IS MOBILE GROOMING MORE EXPENSIVE THAN AT A SHOP?
Mobile grooming is a luxury, convenience based service, which means it will cost more than taking your dog to a salon. Unlike most groomers, we groom your dog from start to finish, and include travel time between appointments; because of this, we are not able to groom as many dogs as a salon, and this affects our prices. In addition, Hair of the Dog Pet Spa LLC is owned and operated by a State Certified Groomer who believes in certification and continuing education so we are always up to date on trends, new techniques and discovering new ways to improve your dog's grooming. Our years of experience, training, and quality of our work is reflected in our price.
WHY DO I NEED TO COMMIT TO A GROOMING SCHEDULE?
Hair of the Dog Pet Spa LLC is a premium mobile service which works on a route system. In order to accommodate all of our wonderful clients in a timely manner, we must be very efficient in our routing and scheduling. We are unable to accept dogs groomed on an "as needed" basis due to the additional time required, and sporadic scheduling this causes.
